Concept

The Festival of illustration will gather illustrators from Croatia and abroad in a joint project the function of which is to improve and popularize this branch of applied arts. During the seven days of the Festival’s programme we will try to demonstrate how applied arts can be integrated into everyday life and be brought closer to general public offering additional cultural attractions in the town and the region where it is being held, at the same time giving its contribution to the development of cultural tourism. Fužine will be, during the festival, a place of gathering and meeting of artists, inhabitants of the region and their guests. Exhibition previews, screenings of animated films, visual arts workshops in nature, promotion of the host town and numerous other attractions will offer a visitor a diversity of choice in a natural environment of forests and lakes that make Fužine the ideal place to get away from the city’s crowd and heat.
